How to Claim Your $250 Thank-You Gift

1. Making it Official

• Let us be your first hello: Apartment Buddy must be your very first point of contact with a property. If you’ve already communicated with them—which includes, but is not limited to, visited, called, emailed, DM’d, IM’d, texted, or chatted—before reaching out to us, the property won’t allow us to sponsor your reward.
• Name us as your source: When you fill out your initial guest card and your final lease application, please list "Apartment Buddy" as your sole referral source.
• New beginnings: This offer is for brand-new residents. It doesn’t apply to lease renewals, transfers to sister properties, or for folks who are currently employed by the apartment complex.
• Lease Term: We’re able to offer this gift for standard leases of at least one year (12 months).
• Property Consent: Every reward is subject to the final consent of the apartment community.

2. One Reward per Home

To keep things simple, we provide one reward per apartment unit. If you’re moving in with roommates or co-signers, you’ll receive one $250 gift for the household. You and your roommates can then decide together how you’d like to share it!

3. Behind the Scenes: Commissions

• Minimum Placement Fee: We require a minimum commission of $500.00 from the property to process your $250 reward. If a property’s structure changes or falls below this amount, the reward is void.
• The Escort Policy: Some communities have a rule that we must physically escort you to the property in person to qualify for a referral. If your chosen property has this rule, we must escort you to maintain reward eligibility.

4. Keeping Your Reward Active

• Submit your form: Make sure to complete and send us your Rebate Request Form within 30 days of your lease start date.
• The "Sole Source" Rule: If the property declines to pay a commission for any reason (like if another source was listed instead of Apartment Buddy), the reward is unfortunately void.

5. Your Payout Timeline

• The Trigger: The payout process begins once we receive a completed Lease Verification from the property and you have paid your first full month’s rent in its entirety.
• The Timeline: You can expect your payment 30 days after we verify that first full month of rent and the lease details.
• Tenant in Good Standing: We just ask that your rent is current and your account is in good standing when the reward is sent out.
